Natural- Born Killers

Another reason to go green: Avocado may wipe out oral cancer. Some researchers applied an avocado extract to both normal and precancerous oral cells. The extract itself caused the precancerous cells to die but didn't harm the normal ones. Phytonutrients- the compounds that give fruits and veggies their color.

So in order to avoid that kind of diseases, let's be preventive enough in what we are eating- always go for green. Well, as of now I'm starting reading some
colon cleanse reviews since I'm not into eating green foods. :)

Cancer: Life Threaning Disease

According to studies, the rate of cancer patients are still increasing. Just like this afternoon, my office mate told me that our boss was being referred by her physician to visit an oncologist for the reason that she always experience a blood in her urine. As I look for the causes of her illness on the net, I found out that it was known as hematuria which is also one sign of having a bladder or kidney cancer.

Oh my! So sad to hear that many people suffer from this kind of life threatening diseases especially the most common to women the cervical cancer and to some who are expose to asbestos called mesothelioma.Good thing that those who have experienced such can have Mesothelioma lawsuits to defend them. Well, this is just a warning to all of us to really take care of our health.

Goodbye Patrick!

I was so saddened when I heard the news just this afternoon that Patrick Swayze died. Oh my! He was indeed a hunky actor who danced his way into moviegoers' hearts with "Dirty Dancing" and then broke them with his "Ghost" movie. I'm really a big fan of him.

At the age of 57, he passed away peacefully after facing all the challenges of his illness which is 'pancreatic cancer 'for the last 20 months. Another great asset in showbiz industry was gone! May his soul rest in peace....

On Breast Cancer...

We usually hear and read from news about people dying, suffering and surviving this co called CANCER- a life threatening disease. By the way this is a class of diseases in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth (division beyond the normal limits), invasion (intrusion on and destruction of adjacent tissues), and sometimes metastasis (spread to other locations in the body via lymph or blood). These three malignant properties of cancers differentiate them from benign tumors, which are self-limited, and do not invade or metastasize. Most cancers form a tumor but some, like leukemia, do not. This affect people at all ages, even fetuses, but the risk for most varieties increases with age.

Just recently my cousin’s family was grieving because of her mother’s death caused by Cancer. It was indeed so painful for her daughters to accept the fact that their mother will just have limited time here on earth because of the breast cancer stages that is already critical. The time when the doctor checked her up it was already a metastatic breast cancer and they have nothing to do with. Too bad!

If only they could turn back time they have detected it so early and it that sense they will be able to have a breast cancer treatment. I have read the site about Herceptin – is approved for the adjuvant treatment of HER2-overexpressing, node-positive or node-negative (ER/PR-negative or with one high-risk feature)† breast cancer. It is also a as a single agent that is approved for treatment of HER2-overexpressing breast cancer in patients who have received one or more chemotherapy regimens for metastatic disease.

But anyway, all things happened for a purpose!

The Risk of Asbestos Exposure

I just knew just this morning through my hubby that my grandfather (the brother of my biological grandmother) died yesterday afternoon due to Cancer. So sad to hear that another love one of ours died because of this life threatening disease. Actually, my uncle died two years ago because of lung cancer. I just knew that it was caused by an asbestos exposure. By the way, asbestos exposure is linked to a very dangerous form of lung cancer called Mesothelioma. For sure he got it when he was exposed as he worked in a ship building industry. Good for him, since he was entitled to compensation since he was diagnosed with mesothelioma.

Working with an aggressive and experienced mesothelioma attorneys would really make a big difference. To some manufacturers of asbestos have gone bankrupt over the years and only an experienced Mesothelioma Lawyer can help victims receive such compensations.

This is just a warning to all of us that we really need to be aware of this dangerous asbestos exposure. Like many other dangerous products, the manufacturers of asbestos knew about its dangers before they revealed it to the public. As a result thousands of people were needlessly exposed to this dangerous substance.
