How Much Water Is It Healthy To Drink Each Day?

It's possible that you have come across recommendations that you should drink eight glasses of water in each twenty-four hour period, each containing eight ounces of liquid. This is actually not quite true. What is true is that you do need to ensure that your body remains properly hydrated at all times. Doing so helps you to feel and look good as well as helping to maintain your health.

We are going to take a look at how much water you should be drinking each day to remain healthy. We are also going to examine which is the healthiest water for you to drink. It may surprise you that it’s not the water you buy in a bottle.

What is the right amount of water to drink each day?

There is no quick answer to the question of how much water you need to drink. The amount of fluid each person needs to take in to keep their body functioning healthily varies between individuals. You also need to remember that all fluid counts when it comes to maintaining the balance in your body; with the exception of alcohol.

The water which is present in the food that you eat, and drinks such as fruit juice, all helps to keep your body hydrated. You will get used to the amount of water that your body needs you to drink. One thing that it’s worth remembering is that if you feel thirsty this is often a sign that your body is already starting to dehydrate.

Which water is the best for you to drink?

You may think that you already have water coming straight from the tap in your home, so you should be able to just drink that. The problem with water from the tap is that it is not always your healthiest drinking option.

The water that is provided to you at home has often been treated by the water company to try and remove any bugs present. Chemicals like chlorine are often added. Water also comes into contact with additives and chemicals, as well as grime, during its journey along the pipes to your property.  You want the water that you drink to taste and look good, as well as being healthy. As you can see, this is not always the case with water that comes straight from the tap.

So, is bottled water the answer then? Many people regularly buy bottled water to drink, but this is not actually your best option. There is nothing to suggest that bottled water is any healthier than the water you can get for free from the tap. You can also help to damage the environment if you constantly use plastic bottles.

If you want to drink water that is clean and safe then you should consider the filtered water you can get from an indoor fountain. It’s easy to obtain filtered water for your home or your place of work. This type of water is free from additives, chemicals and grime.

You can be sure to have as much great tasting water on hand as you need to ensure your body remains healthily hydrated.
